Brian A. Bailey

I'm a 2,300-hour active, instrument-rated private pilot with an aircraft based at Licking County Regional Airport.

I have sold or retired from actively operating any of my business interests, so I have the time, resources, and interest to serve Licking County and the LCRAA Board.

My life and work experience have allowed me to be involved in many building projects, both large and small, with a focus on delivering on-budget and on-time results.

• Lifelong Ohio resident, married to my high school sweetheart for 40 years. Father of two adult sons, and grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren. When my sons were young, I coached their baseball and soccer teams, and was the scorekeeper for the high school lacrosse team. My interests and hobbies include spending time working around the various properties, especially on the farm, always with my faithful dog by my side. I enjoy snow skiing in the Rocky Mountains with my family, both backwater and offshore fishing in Florida, and scuba diving. I've been a member of the Licking County-based Meyer Shank Racing team since 2011, and I have been part of most of their wins at the iconic tracks of America, including the Indianapolis 500 and 24 Hours of Daytona

• My contributions to the Board would include being an active pilot who visits many FBOs in multiple states operated by both government agencies and leased facilities. I ask the County Commissioners what their goals and vision are for our airport, and work to accomplish those goals. I can attend the Board meetings and would commit to virtual attendance when traveling.
• Through my various business interests I've been involved in all aspects of operating companies, including managerial and operational tasks, payroll, HR, sourcing and purchasing, scheduling, customer service, and sales. I've written leases, executed leases, handled purchasing and I can run a mower and a snowplow. I'm willing to ask questions and reach out to experts when I need help completing projects.
• It would be my pleasure to serve the County Commissioners, other LCRAA Board members, and County residents to operate the airport safely and efficiently, and to enhance this vital resource that the Licking County Regional Airport is to our County.
