Summary: Currently serving as the primary RN on an oncology interdisciplinary team. Responsible for scheduling patients for their treatments, identifying and addressing barriers to care, monitoring and managing side effects from chemotherapy and biotherapy, providing side effects management education to patients and their family members. Provides support to the primary oncologist and advanced practice practitioners including FMLA completion, assisting in denials and appeals, connecting patients to resources such as financial aid and social work, and coordinating care with radiation, surgical, and gynecological oncology.
