Summary: Currently serving as the primary RN on an oncology interdisciplinary team. Responsible for scheduling patients for their treatments, identifying and addressing barriers to care, monitoring and managing side effects from chemotherapy and biotherapy, providing side effects management education to patients and their family members. Provides support to the primary oncologist and advanced practice practitioners including FMLA completion, assisting in denials and appeals, connecting patients to resources such as financial aid and social work, and coordinating care with radiation, surgical, and gynecological oncology. Facilitates and monitors outside testing including Natera, Tempus, Guardant, and more. Briefly worked in infusion suite administering anti-neoplastic agents, iron infusions, and blood products from April 2022 through October 2022. Transitioned to Care Manager role in October 2022. Also served as a skills validator for 2023-2024.

Summary: Cared for a variety of medical oncology/hematology patients in the outpatient setting. Experienced in administering chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, accessing and caring for central and peripheral venous access devices, therapeutic phlebotomies, managing oral chemotherapies, and triaging. Had one year of float experience servicing three outpatient clinics before accepting a full-time position in the Johnstown office.
