Is responsible for the overall management and execution of operational excellence for the entire store, with additional specific focus on the supervision and management of team members in store operations, which includes Asset Protection, Cashiers, Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, and Maintenance. It directs and coordinates activities through subordinate team leads, and other employees. It is a leadership position and is expected to effectively drive the overall performance of the store and store operations through the effective supervision, communication, and coordination of the team members. Through this important work, the Operations Manager leads the team and drives goals that directly impact customer satisfaction, store profitability, and the Academy’s Purpose.
Oversees a group of employees and motivates them to do their job efficiently. Provide daily objectives, develop reward systems for productivity that motivate team members and communicate any issues with upper management to reach business goals efficiently. Display, arrange, price, and rotate products, and maintain shelves by removing damaged or outdated items.
Ensure that a company's offerings are present in designated stores, and that stock is replenished as needed. Work to facilitate the sale of these items by creating engaging displays and attractive promotions.
Monitors cashiers to ensure they are providing prompt, friendly customer service. Ensures smooth and efficient operations of all register processes and procedures. Operates cash register up to 50% of the time and exhibits knowledge of cashier procedures. Directs zoning of Front End merchandise and monitors compliance to merchandising guidelines. Performs closing and opening procedures, including cashier drops, cash control in tills and safe. Monitors cashiers to ensure accurate balance all transactions run through an assigned register. Checks change needs regularly and orders change as necessary, paying special attention to events that may impact change deliveries or needs. Ensures POGs are stocked and maintained. Performs price/SKU look ups. Reads, understands and follows company policies, procedures and safety rules. Processed efficient and accurate cash, check, debit, and credit card payments using Point-of-Sale system. Collected merchandise from store and searched back-end locations for customer purchases. Unboxed new merchandise and added to shelves in accordance with planograms and stock rotation policies. Kept check-out areas clean, organized, and well-stocked to maintain attractive store
