• Achieved greater than 30 hours shadowing CRNA's to learn about anesthesia management during various cases with a wide range of complexities. Cases included but not limited to ex lap trauma surgery, ambulatory care settings, craniotomy & craniectomy, CABG, small bowel resection, thyroidectomy, exploratory laparotomy, and cervical laminoplasty procedure through intentional observation.

• Analyzed CRNA's vital role in each operative stage and how they achieved safe and therapeutic anesthesia by gathering
  necessary patient medical history to formulate safe anesthesia plan that tailors to patient pre-existing conditions, procedure type,
  medication, fluid, and blood product requirements.

Preceptor – Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Jackson Memorial Hospitals' Ryder Trauma Center

• Mentored nursing students and novel ICU nurses on the roles and expectations an ICU nurse uphold to provide holistic, safe, and
  proactive care.
• Highlighted the importance of communicating new abnormal clinical findings to health care team members to build confidence,
  independence, and critical thinking skills.
• Exposed novel ICU nurses to new challenges such as high acuity 1:1 assignments with multiple IV drips, treatment modalities,
  trauma admissions, transfers, CT scanners, or operating room transportation.
• Worked closely with nurse educator and manager to formulate training curriculum for novel ICU nurses and participated in
  weekly progress evaluations.
  

Unit-Based Sedation Education Initiative – Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Jackson Memorial's Ryder Trauma Center

• Collaborated with the unit educator to gather and present information to TICU nurses regarding safe sedation and analgesia
  practices per hospital policy by presenting the importance of sedation-vacation, exclusion criteria, and appropriate titration
  techniques.
• Encouraged nurses to wean sedation and analgesic medication when appropriate by highlighting the importance that prolonged
  sedation and analgesia can lead to prolonged intubation time, ICU stay, and development of ICU delirium.
• Empowered nurses to use PRN medications and suggest alternative therapies to the healthcare team to foster a collaborative and
  receptive culture.
  

California Association of Nurse Anesthetists (CANA) - Nurse Anesthesia Workshop

• Participated in an educational workshop, informing RN's and SRNA regarding common topics regarding Nurse Anesthesia
  school and how to pick a job after graduation.
• Learned study techniques that would be helpful to retain and integrate information for class and clinical rotations.
• Advised on reducing debt, cash flow management, investment opportunities, and what resources are readily available to overcome
  a deficit and live a successful, debt-free life.
