I am seeking a full-time position working with a public water system. My start in water pumping systems started at age 15. I worked summers and later full time for General Pump Company. After completing my military obligation, I moved back to California, returned to General Pump Company, enrolled in American Water College, and am planning to take my D1 exam soon.
Operate well pumps for long term aquifer and water testing. Normal work hours are from 5pm till 6am. Monitor pump and motor operation (temperature, motor load, vibration, lubrication). Measure water levels in the well and sand content (ppm). Test water quality to meet NPDES. Record flow, pressure, motor horsepower, and pump speed (VFD). Calculate and track specific capacity and wire to water efficiency. Monitor on site tanks used for settling solids.
Military Accolades
Summer work from age 15-18 working in the assembly shop and machine shop assisting in the repairs of large turbine water pumps. Utilized small tools, sandblaster, forklift, pressure washer, over head crane, and specialized tools for disassembly/reassembly of pump components.
At age 19, I came back to General Pump and started training in San Dimas as a purchasing agent. After training in San Dimas, I was relocated to Camarillo facility to do the purchasing and scheduling of rental equipment.
