The combined service as Captain, Lieutenant, Adjunct Instructor, and Firefighter Paramedic provides equivalent training and experience through extensive company-level leadership, operational command, and department-wide instructional responsibilities. Leadership performed across all ranks—including long-term Acting Captain assignments and current service as a Captain—has strengthened advanced decision-making, personnel management, emergency scene command, and administrative capability consistent with high-level operational experience. The Adjunct Instructor assignment further expanded this foundation through curriculum development, academy instruction, and training program management—responsibilities that directly reflect those carried out by command-level officers. Additionally, extensive dedication to personal operational training, active participation in departmental committees, and a consistent commitment to both personal and organizational growth reinforce the depth, scope, and professional maturity aligned with the equivalent training and experience required for the Training Major role.
