Compassionate college student currently pursuing an RN degree. Seeking a CNA position to gain hands-on patient care experience and contribute to a supportive healthcare team. Passionate about providing quality care and assisting patients with daily living activities.
I was mentored on a daily basis by different doctors and nurses, as well as different personnel of the medical team at CHOC. I showed the head of cardiology and gained insight into patient care. I participated in various critical thinking activities to come up with innovative solutions for the children of CHOC. I also showcased my creativity by presenting my own abstract, showcasing my own innovative idea to a group of doctors, professionals, and interns.
I took care of children ranging from newborns to 10 years old. I helped care for the children by feeding bathing, changing, and any other tasks the parents needed assistance with.
I assisted the CNAs and RNs on each floor by answering pagers and helping patients with ADLs. I rotated between med/surg, oncology, brain and spine, mother-baby, and labor delivery. I discharged and fed patients, fetched and restocked supplies, set up rooms for admissions, changed patients, performed bed baths, and attended to any of the other patients needs.
I volunteered for a multitude of organizations accumulating hundred of hours of service for my community. I helped the elderly, fed the homeless, raised money for the underserved, made care packages for the military, provided food and resources for the families of the children at CHOC, fostered animals, and makde masks during the pandemic.
