  • I was a route driver rotating between 2 branches in Thomasville, GA and Tallahassee, Fla delivering gases, welding, and safety equipment to schools, medical offices, and industrial facilities. Handhelds were used to determine what products and the destination. I refilled nitrogen and oxygen Dewar with liquid gas for medical and industrial purposes. I was assigned 10-18 stops a day. At the end of each day, all paperwork was signed, documented and turned in to management. I was the lead driver, responsible for 2 drivers and a dockworker. As well as to train all new drivers who would be hired. I was awarded the customer service of the month award. Later I was moved to inside sales where I assisted customers with order purchases, took call-in orders for gases, received and scanned in all freight trucks, and helped manage store projects. counted all cylinders twice a week and created documentation sheets for the cylinders to be transferred to our refill plants. I checked off the driver before going out to deliver and after the driver was done for the day. On days when management wasn't available, I would be responsible for running the store independently.

  • Was a final assembly tech 4 years. In my first year, I learned the basic process of boiler making insulated the boiler, applying fiberglass jackets using pop rivets, and cut out patches with a plasma cutter. Next, I was moved to the head shop building heating elements, junction boxes for wire panels, small oil components by drawings, gas trains, and motor assemblies for boiler heads. I was then moved to piping assembly I built and installed all piping components according to drawings such as water columns, blowdowns, 3 valve bypass, feed-waters, steamlines with water transmitters, minor linkage jobs for boiler heads, mounted air compressors made for boilers, oil pumps, minor welding for brackets for any pipe assembly, and threaded pipe up to 4 inch. After all piping is done we would water hydro test , to check for any leaks and to be checked and approve by quality control. Also trained all new pipers who were promoted to the pipe team.
