  • Led the development of enterprise reporting applications using Microsoft Access and SQL, consolidating multiple data sources into unified system.
  • The systems applications developed provided executive level leadership with visibility into operational readiness for over 15,000 personnel spread out over multiple states.
  • To develop the applications, I had to interview executive leadership, middle managers, and those inputting data to determine the needs of all levels who would be using the applications.
  • Using the unit’s and traditional IT change management processes, IT governance principles, and life-cycle management principles to ensure application integrated into existing network configuration.
  • Before launching I also developed implemented testing procedures to ensure both user satisfaction and eliminate potential integration problems.
  • My ability to perform root cause analysis allowed me to identify and resolve recurring system issues, improving overall performance and reliability.
  • My other duties included coordinating cross-functional teams during large-scale operational exercises involving General Officer level units to ensure integrated IT support and adherence to established standards.
  • This included the integration of video teleconferencing, developing traditional and IP based telephones, and satellite communications systems.
  • Integration for these exercises was complicated by need for both unclassified and classified systems to be operational and ensure that these systems remain separated.
  • My experience includes preparing executive briefings and technical documentation to inform leadership decisions and support strategic planning.
