Intersection vehicle detection and alert system (Senior Project), In response to recurrent train car collisions, we engineered an embedded system designed to proficiently detect objects within an intersection. This advanced system is configured to promptly transmit alerts and initiate a deceleration sequence for the train, thereby mitigating the risk of collisions. The project encompassed the integration of multiple PIR sensors, touch pads, and relays to ensure comprehensive and precise object detection and timely response within the intersection environment.
