I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago in a town called Oswego, Illinois. I lived in Oswego until the end of middle school. When I was going into high school my parents moved me to a private catholic school called Fenwick. I moved to a private school with a great education to stay focused and be a student-athlete, not just an athlete. At Fenwick high school I had to balance a full class schedule with homework and team activities while still being present to my basketball team. It was tough balancing schoolwork and practices/ games as a Freshman in high school, but as the years went on and I started getting older it began to get easier. Fenwick high school prepared me for college and I am glad I accepted the change of being in a new environment because that's what happens in the real world. Fenwick High school helped me become the student-athlete I am today.
