The experience of working full time and especially my time as a self-employed swim instructor has helped me gain a strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication to succeed based on individual merit. I have learned how to adapt instruction patterns, progress track and specifically lesson plan to target weak areas to help each one of my students succeed. I am able to effectively communicate to create a positive environment of learning and expectations for all age groups.
I also accredit my time as a full-time student-athlete at Brigham Young University to my personal development and passion for sports and nutrition. I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ecuador which has broaden my ability to be understanding of other cultures and languages allowing me to be able to market to those who may belong to a minority population.
When it comes to the field of nutrition and dietetics I am an autodidact currently enrolled in university as a full-time student pre-majoring in dietetics. Although my work experience within the field is minimal, I am self motivated and eager to get my foot in the door to learn as much as I can to become an effective employee.
