
Dynamic Band Director with a proven track record at the School District of Siren, excelling in ensemble management and rehearsal techniques. Successfully nurtured students from 5th grade through high school, fostering musical growth and stage presence. Directed multiple bands and pit orchestras, enhancing the community's cultural engagement through innovative music education. My responsibilities as Band Director at the Siren School included teaching 5th grade band, 6th grade band, 7-8 grade band and high school band. My duties included recruiting and starting band students in 5th grade and nurturing them through the grade levels with appropriate levels of methods and repertoire. I was also responsible for pep band, jazz band and marching band. I directed the pit orchestra for 11 school/community school musicals. Also included in job was teaching general music courses from 6th-12th grade. I taught a combination of music history, music careers, composition, music theory, etc. depending on the age level and ability level of each class. I organized and took my band students on 18 performances trips during my tenure.
