Summary
I am a full time college student hoping to go to physical therapy school after I graduate with an undergrad degree in Biology. Relevant courses I have taken include: Math 221, Chem 343/344/345, Bio 151/152, Physics 103/104, and Physiology 335. I am looking to stay in Madison for the summer, and would love to be in a fun, outdoor environment and try something new that I have never done before.

- I help students who are in the PEOPLE program with their homework and/or questions they have about their classes at Madison West high school.
- I mainly focus on helping students in chemistry and biology since I am most comfortable with those, however, I have helped students with geometry and calculus as well.
- PEOPLE program is designed for students that are low-income and/or the first in their families to attend college so I work with them so they are able to better understand what college entails and how to be prepared when they go.

- I conducted my own research project with the help of a graduate student for my Bio 151 class. My project focused on how Alzheimer's disease affects rats' ability to chew and swallow effectively.
- I conducted rat tongue training and then compared the results to rats who have undergone chemotherapy or have been surgically induced with Alzheimer's disease.
- I was also given the opportunity to help a doctoral student in her research. I homogenized small pieces of muscle from rats' tongues to create gels that are able to show certain types of muscle fibers that are in a particular muscle.

- I prepared weekly meals for people who want a healthy and balanced lifestyle. By doing this I learned how to put together and deliver nutritionally balanced meals.
- I took customers orders, prepared smoothies, and stocked smoothie supplies.
- I helped give advice to customers if they wanted something diet specific such as vegetarian, high protein, etc. and what things on the menu would be best for them to order.
