As the store manager I was responsible for all day to day operations of the café, as well as overseeing, guiding and teaching staff. Day to day operations include opening the store, working to ensure the cafe is setup to succeed for the day in terms of prep, cleanliness and general management of the store. Weekly tasks include managing inventory, submitting and tracking truck orders, tracking waste and weekly setting myself up hit all goals related to sales, food cost, labor percentages and cost of goods. As well as getting schedules out to employees in a timely manner to ensure all employees were situated to meet their shifts.
As General Manager I was also in charge of the staffing cafe, including interviewing and hiring of new applicants as well as the difficult conversations of when it was time to move on from employees.
