Caleb Fillingame

I am a motivated and diligent rising 8th-grade student at Simmons Middle School with a strong academic record, including being on the AB honor roll. I actively participate in the school's math team, demonstrating a passion for mathematics and problem-solving. I possess excellent teamwork and communication skills developed through extracurricular activities and group projects. I am eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world experiences and contribute positively to future endeavors. I am also a very active kid, playing sports like football, basketball, and soccer.

• Unofficial College level Math Tutor, I tutor my older sister Courtney Ryan and help her with her math homework so she can better understand it and make better grades.
• AB Honor Roll, 05/2024, Simmons Middle School, In my 2023-24 School year, I received the AB honor roll reflecting a strong level of academic performance. This award demonstrates a commitment to learning and achieving high grades in a variety of subjects, showcasing both diligence and intellectual capability. This kind of recognition can open doors for future academic and career opportunities, and it's a testament to hard work and dedication in the classroom.
• 3rd Best ACAP score in the State of Alabama, 06/2023, Alabama State Department of Education, The Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) is the state's annual testing program for public schools. It assesses students' academic progress in various subjects and grade levels. This data is used by educators, parents, and policymakers to evaluate and improve the education system. Achieving the 3rd best ACAP score in the state is a significant accomplishment. It demonstrates strong academic performance and proficiency in the tested subjects. This achievement reflects positively on my academic abilities and validates my hard work and dedication. It also shows that I am among the top performers in the state, which can lead to opportunities for scholarships, advanced placement, and other academic recognition.

I volunteer in three areas at Mountaintop Community Church located at 225 Centerview Dr, Birmingham, AL, 35216 the 3 areas I serve at include:

1. Worship Leader

During the first & second service for grades K-4, I will help lead worship. I am also leading worship for the church-wide VBS this summer.

2. Service Technology

During the second service I will help run the technology (lights, sounds, mics, elements) essential to running the service with some other people.

3. Nursery Volunteering, In second service, when I am finished doing technology, I will go help take care of, watch, and play with the toddlers and I enjoy doing it.
