Currently a Midshipman at the U.S Naval Academy seeking a career afterwards in the civilian sector. I look to challenge myself mentally, academically, and physically in order to make myself a better leader. I set high goals for myself and those that I lead. I plan on putting myself in the position to give back to all those who have invested so much in my life. A Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) is a student enrolled in a rigorous four-year program designed to develop future officers for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The program encompasses academic, physical, and leadership training, aimed at producing well-rounded individuals equipped for military service and leadership roles. While at USNA, Midshipmen are required to complete an intensive set of courses that will award the student with a Bachelor's of Science. They must also go through intensive leadership development that occurs through daily life at USNA and various summer trainings that are conducted through the U.S. Navy. Midshipmen must also maintain physical fitness in order to prepare to serve as future officers. While at the United States Naval Academy, I held several leadership roles. They are listed below.
While at the United States Naval Academy, I participated in various summer trainings that are designed to introduce Midshipmen to the operational Navy and further develop their leadership skills.
This was an internship focused on becoming familiar with the Arctic. Students from all fields of study, such as environmental policy, oceanography, mechanical engineering, and environmental science all worked together to bring their respective academic focus areas perspectives on the Arctic environment.
