A dependable HVACR technician and installer with upwards of 10 years of experience. Entrusted to run a service van solo, train apprentices, and coordinate workflow in a self-supervised role, as well as a supervisory role in installation projects. Worked to balance code requirements with customer wants, and project timelines.
I developed communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to maintain a high quality of work for customer satisfaction, as well as my own.
As a transcriber and proofreader I strove to be a valued part of the team. I continued to develop my intrapersonal communication skills with supervisors and coworkers in an effort to move documentation to the clients hands as seamlessly as possible. I gained greater appreciation for 'the little things', trying to be as preemptive as possible in predicting both the company's and client's needs, as well as promptly applying any notes given on my tasks.
As a full-time technician with a part-time supervisory and trainer role I was entrusted with providing clear communications and directions, coordinating schedules, analyzing explaining job hazards, and planning workflow to be as efficient as possible.
Due to the customer facing nature of this work I also had to be able to develop a personable connection with a variety of people; learn to balance customer wants with code requirements; communicate issues, costs, and repair or replacement options in an understandable manner to those with varying knowledge of the field.
Working in this self-supervised role required dedication to finish large projects within the projected timeline, and an eye for detail to ensure that the final documentation required as little work proofreading as possible before being sent out to the clients.
This role trained good communication between myself and remote supervisors and proofreading teams. It also trained me to take initiative to ensure each document met company standards before needing to be given correction.
