As a receptionist at Andersen Eye Surgery Center my responsibilities were;

• Greeted incoming visitors and patients professionally and provided friendly, knowledgeable assistance upon check in.
• Answered telephone system and answered questions, resolved problems regarding upcoming surgeries, and directed phone calls accordingly if they did not pertain to surgery.
• Managed multiple tasks and met time-sensitive deadlines.
• Restocked supplies and placed purchase orders to maintain adequate stock levels for surgery.
• Upon registering patients we were tasked to make sure patients were taking the correct medications, were NPO for certain amounts of time, as well as other requirements.
• Scanned in insurance forms and documents into patients charts.
• Billed multiple kinds of surgeries regarding eyes, for 6 different doctors, up to 40+ surgeries per day.
• Adapted to multiple Covid-19 policies and procedures and implemented them in daily tasks.

• Current BLS trained instructor capable of teaching BLS, CPR, first aid, and bloodborne pathogens classes.
• Provided immediate and constructive feedback to students individually and as group.
• Evaluated students' competencies through written examinations as well as in person skill examinations.
• Delivered individualized instruction on observation, assessment, decision-making and patient health teaching.
• Instructed students on how to perform head-to-toe assessments on patients and how to intervene in medical emergencies.

Being a CNA at Andersen Eye Surgery Center required me to;

• Bringing correct patients into their preop rooms.
• Checked patient vitals such as temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, as well as respirations.
• Charted all findings in Nextgen computer system.
• Once patient was brought back from their surgery, I would take another set of vitals, get them something small to drink and eat, and chart all necessary information again.
• To discharge patient, I would remove their IV, and walk them to their visitors car.
• I would clean their pre/ post op beds, side tables, vital machines, and computers with hospital grade cleaner before rooming another patient.
• I would also turn over OR's on some days; using sterile techniques to put instruments onto sterile fields.
• Have on the job training on how to sterilize surgery instruments, using autoclaves, and ultra sonics.

• Answered call lights and supported patient comfort and safety by adjusting bed rails and equipment.
• Promoted good oral and personal hygiene by aiding patients with shaving, bathing and teeth brushing.
• Checked patient vitals such as temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
• Assisted with adequate nutrition and fluid intake, and planned, prepared and served meals and snacks according to prescribed diets.
• Cared for residents in assisted living facility and delivered high-quality support to meet needs.
• Oversaw and maintained patients' rooms, group living areas and nurse stations.
• Participated in fun group activities with patients to boost mood, improve overall memory and provide light entertainment.

• In long-term care facilities, home health care, and hospice home care settings.
• Daily care ranges from bathing and morning or night routines to ambulating and assisting feeding residents.
• Positioned residents for comfort and to prevent skin pressure problems.
