Experienced leader with strong background in guiding teams, managing complex projects, and achieving strategic objectives. Excels in developing efficient processes, ensuring high standards, and aligning efforts with organizational goals. Known for collaborative approach and commitment to excellence.
During my time at the Tallahassee Police Department I have strived to continue gaining knowledge in training in my field. I have attended and passed several Interview and Interrogations trainings, Basic Undercover trainings, Narcotics Investigations training, DUI training, and Death Investigation training. I have also attended several investigative trainings including the Force Science Analyst course held by the Force Science Institute and the Homicide School hosted by the Southern Police Institute. While working as a Detective I have identified issues and instituted solutions to many issues to include a training for new recruits geared towards courtroom testimony and etiquette, and a need for new photographic lineup software resulting in the purchase of an eLineup software which greatly streamlines the process of creating lineups for Detectives.
In December 2023 I began working as a Homicide Detective despite my official transfer not being effective until July 2024. During that time I assisted in and led numerous Homicide investigations resulting in a 100% closure rate for 2024. In April of 2025 I led the investigation into the FSU Active Shooter incident and arrested the person responsible for that incident. During that investigation I effectively coordinated with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to accomplish a successful investigation.
I have been a member of the Department's Honor Guard and assisted in enhancing the Department's appearance by assisting in numerous funerals, events, and parades. Since my time on the Honor Guard I have stepped into a role of an assistant trainer for the team, providing my knowledge and experience of ceremonial protocol to other members of the Honor Guard.
I was a member of the TAC Team for a year and participated in several high-risk search warrants and barricaded subjects during that time. I increased community trust in this position by participating in several community events such as Demonstrations and Events at local schools and hospitals. I also assisted the community in providing Active Shooter Training on several occasions.
For the past several years I have assisted in the Fitness Initiative for recruits attending the Florida Public Safety Institute. I obtained my CrossFit Level 1 certificate and certificate as a Fitness Instructor through the CJSTC during this time. Utilizing my training and experience, I have assisted in improving the overall fitness of over 50 Officers who have been hired by the Department over the past several years.

In 2024 the Tallahassee Police Department investigated 24 Homicides. All 24 Homicides were closed either by arrest or exceptional clearance. Of those 24 cases, I personally led the investigation into 5 of the cases, including one double Homicide. This closure rate is much higher than the national average of approximately 50%-55%. This closure rate was accomplished by a team effort by all Detectives as well as collaboration with other agencies and jurisdictions.
