My responsibilities as a strand tender are, making sure the mould is getting plenty of powder to it, hooking up ladles, and sequencing them in. I also preform work in the process crane upwards to 600+ feet in the air! My job as a process crane operator is to make sure the caster gets its ladle by a certain time, Swap electrodes for the furnace and bring up material as needed.
