Moving Ahead is an adventure club, school, after-school, and enrichment center for kids, grades K-8th in Columbia MO.
Although my time, at Moving Ahead was brief I cherished being able to connect with the kids by playing with them, tutoring them individually, and helping instructors and staff keep them on track during lessons. It was important to set a good example and demonstrate positive behavior and responses to the classroom setting.
I loved being able to get to know the staff as well and learn more about my community when I lived in Columbia MO.
In 2016 I was awarded the CYBIX Scholarship which, awarded via the US and German governments, enabled me to study abroad in Germany with a host family my junior year of highschool. I took classes in German at a German school, and was fortunate enough to have a truly life-changing experience that connected me with so many wonderful people and new cultures.
