To provide therapeutic services through assessment, individual, collateral, group, family, and/or other modes of psychotherapy to enable clients to reach and maintain optimal level(s) of functioning

• Provides a specific amount of direct services with regard to prevailing workload standards including but not limited to providing direct clinical, psychosocial, and/or rehabilitative mental health services to Center clients, including but not limited to intake evaluation/assessment, individual, collateral, group, family, psychotherapy or counseling, crisis intervention and emergency intakes, in-home, community services, and/or services at other locations away from the Center
• Serves as primary therapist/coordinator of mental health services managing a caseload of 25.
• Maintains and completes all clinical and administrative record-keeping associated with the delivery of services.

• Providing mental health services to the previously incarcerated population
• Completed quarterly and annual assessments, working with the medical team to ensure proper medication distribution and evaluate CBEST clients for qualification
• Maintained a caseload of 15-20 clients providing outpatient mental health services, exploring medical resources, and assisting with group therapy
• Completed five progress notes daily, updating client information and reviewing the day's plan
• Engaged in learning tools to reduce harm, provided coping skills to reduce problematic ones, practiced S.M.A.R.T
• Goals with clients, and communicated with housing facilities.

• Assisting patients and medical team in providing high-level medical care to the community
• Implemented financial alleviation programs like GoodRX to ensure coverage of required medications
• Advocated for the patient's medical and mental health needs ensuring they received their medication, quarterly appointments, and additional medical services.
• Scheduled approximately 25-30 patients per week and made reminder calls.

• Worked closely with the Mayor of Tuskegee to improve the city as a whole
• Planned a community-wide event to bring awareness to the small business created by community members, speaking engagements for the Mayor, and meeting daily to explore new ways to improve the community
• Used position as a student of Tuskegee University to advocate for the students and their needs as temporary community members
• Due to COVID-19, I completed this internship virtually, maintaining the Mayor's schedule.
