I oversaw the after-school activities of children grades K-8. I practiced patience and attentiveness in keeping them on task, safe, and active. I worked with a team of other caregivers which allowed me to coordinate the care of children. This job has required me to be attentive to the individual needs of over 100 kids. I applied positive behavior management techniques to enhance social interactions and emotional development.

In this position I am assisting students with essay writing and psychology courses. Those students ranged from primary school to undergraduate level. I am expected to assist as many students as possible while also managing my own schedule. I ensured the student was confident in themselves by using reinforcing language and engaging with them in a manor that promotes their own ability. This position granted me ample opportunity to practice time management as well as communication skills.

This was a non-paid position, in partnership with the Orange County Health Department and the Public Policy Department at UNC-Chapel Hill. I volunteered with a team of fellow Public Policy Students to assist the OCH Department's Family Success Alliance. We arranged a schedule for deliverables to present throughout the semester. My position within the team was that of Communicator, ensuring that my team, the FSA, and my professors were all in tandem.

I was a part of Lowe's Back-End team that functioned in unloading trucks for warehouse receiving. In this role, there was also the expectation to assist in any other areas of the warehouse whenever there was a need (cash register, stocking, packing, etc). In addition, company protocols for safety had to be met. Teamwork and resilience were intrinsic necessities of the position.
