• Gained exposure to multiple specialties including Medical-Surgery, Cardiac Rehabilitation, High Risk Pregnancy and Obstetric and Trauma Burn ICU.

21-Week Clinical Immersion Trauma Burn ICU

• Participated as part of conditions A and C Clinical Crises Situations as well as a rapid response team for both step-down units and the Emergency Room.
• Evaluated patient conditions including arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry and carboxyhemoglobin levels.
• Helped individuals who had suffered burn injuries due to contact with fire, chemicals, oil and electricity.
• Prepared chart notes and other documentation while utilizing critical thinking.
• Practiced solid communication skills and articulated patient's condition to other care providers to make recommendations for changes in patient care.
• Assisted in resolving complex medical problems while gaining hands-on experience in the duties of a nurse.
