As a commercial driver at Republic Services, my duties are to complete any route assigned to me. Always offer excellent customer service and report any issues to dispatch and supervisor. I have to perform pre trips every morning before leaving the yard, to make sure there isn't any mechanical problems or damage to the truck assigned to me for the day. Once I get back to the yard, I perform a post trip and report issues, if any, to any mechanic to insure it's fixed for the following day. One thing that's a big deal to me, as it is to any company, is to ALWAYS be a safe driver. I have my family waiting for me at home and I have to get back to them in good shape everyday. Working here I have been getting more experience in this industry, as you know every day you learn new things. I have experience driving front loaders and rear loaders, but open to anything available. I have good backing skills, which is a big deal in this industry. I have enjoyed working in the trash industry ever since I started. It keeps you active all day and I like the long hours. I always give it my all to get done any task assigned to me. I always look for ways to better myself for my wellbeing and to give my family a better future. I recently moved to San Bernardino and looking into continuing my career in the trash industry with a great company.

My responsibilities as a driver at Athens Services are to service all accounts on the route assigned to me, as well as deliver excellent customer service. I have to perform pre and post trip inspections everyday to avoid having issues throughout the day and following day. It's my job to report any and all problems to dispatch and/or supervisor. This is where my experience as a waste truck driver all began. Long hours which I don't mind and keeping me active throughout the day which I enjoy.

Working at Rancho Foods was a big deal for me, since I was coming from a minimum wage job. This was my first job as a commercial driver. Working here is where I started getting experience with customer service and driving experience as a commercial driver. My responsibilities were to deliver product to customers and make sure everything ordered was delivered to them at a certain time. Here as well, I performed pre and post trips daily to ensure there wouldn't be any problems throughout the day or delays. This was a physical job, but I enjoyed doing it. Coming from a minimum wage job and my daughter recently born, it helped me give her a better future. I worked here for 1 year since we always have to look to better ourselves in any way possible. I was given a better opportunity and I went for it.

My responsibilities working at Antex were to maintain my assigned machines operating and clean, as well as taking out the production for my shift. I also have to make sure my production doesn’t have any defects and complete my part, so that the next shift can continue operating the machines smoothly. I always tend to work as best as possible and make sure everything comes out the way it suppose to. I am always responsible when it comes to my work. This was my first job, but had to make a change since I was starting a family. I had to find a way to give my parents, wife and kids a better future.
