Carennia Go is a junior at the University of North Texas, studying Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing to pursue a career as a Product Designer. She loves to surround herself with culture and good people to feed her creative drive for building new ideas with like minded individuals.
She started off at her community college studying Graphic Design before transferring over to UNT and transitioned into Interdisciplinary studies to explore a marketing career path. Her educational experience has given her the ability to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, Sketch, and Blender; along with lessons and opportunities to practice marketing strategies with real life implications. She has gained a strong work ethic from working part-time in the restaurant and retail customer service industry while being a full-time student. These skills include being capable of managing multiple tasks, critical thinking and problem solving skills to make quick decisions in a stressful setting, excellent customer and team communication, and flexibility to adapt to certain situations or environments.
Carennia grew up with strong morals that has made her passionate about wanting to make the world a better place. She plans to use her skills to create messages that will educate and influence action from people to improve society. Her ability to tackle things with an open mind has made her able to adjust her perspective in order to understand any situation; which is why she is able to thrive in creative environments and enjoys working with others as a team to bring ideas to life.
