  • Co-wrote & coauthored an abstract entitled “Integration of the Social Determinants of Health within Prenatal Care Delivery at an Academic Medical Center in New York City”, which is a prospective/qualitative study that utilizes a social determinants of health screening tool that targets low-income mother-child dyads in coordinating linkages to community-based resources
  • Conducted a literature review that centers around the serve maternal morbidity and social index vulnerability index and its negative impacts on black minority women
  • Briefly collaborated with medical students to help manage the SUNY Downstate Obstetrical Outcomes Database which consisted of patient medical records and birth certificates to help investigate the link between different socio-demographic factors, adverse prenatal or post-partum outcomes and severe maternal morbidity
  • Provided guidance to an MPH APEX graduate student in formulating an APEX project that involved an evaluation plan of SUNY Downstate Medical Center's MICI program (Maternal Infant Child Initiative).This evaluation involved the development of survey questions that MICI participants will answer which include a general evaluation, a medical evaluation, and patient assessment
  • Contributed to a budgeting justification for the 2023 Downstate Health Sciences University Seed Grant Program
