Summary
From August 11th to September 18th of 2021, While serving with the 82nd Airborne Division in a no notice deployment to Kabul Afghanistan. I was able to evacuate nearly 125,000 American citizens, embassy staff, and allied Afghan nationals during Operation Allies Refuge. Soon after I decided to pursue the opportunity to work as a correction officer with the Texas department of criminal justice, to persuade inmates to turn their life around for the better by providing them the proper resources to live an honest life after they are released. While doing so I was offered a job as a general service technician. I was able to expand my knowledge on various vehicles, and how to diagnose different problems that might occur.
