As independent property adjuster, I handled water litigation claims for a client in Jacksonville, Florida. I worked with defense counsel in overseeing and managing the litigation strategy of suits against the company for water claims. This consisted of completing bi-monthly reports and presentations of the status of the file, identifying coverage or defense issues, attorney handling and participating as the company representative in depositions.

As independent property adjuster, I handled first party property losses on first party water losses. which required obtaining information as part of the claim investigation process, taking statements, assigning task adjusters for inspections, hiring vendors for mitigation handling and assigning contractors for damage repairs. I evaluated coverage and sent letters regarding coverage issues, settlements or denials as appropriate. I issued payments and managed payment reserves.

• I handled first party claims as a field adjuster, inspecting property claims and evaluating coverage under insurance policies for water, wind, property and other losses. I made coverage determinations, obtained recorded statements, inspected losses, wrote estimates for mitigation and property damage. Virtually, I adjusted property claims in California and Colorado as well as North and East Texas for catastrophe claims.

As a claim manager, I was responsible for leading, training and coaching claim processors on handling content claim losses in a centralized location across 3 regions (GA, TX and AZ). Performed daily huddles to set focus for service goals and expectations for the day. Completed performance reviews, hiring, training and call monitoring. Monitored team performance goals on weekly and quarterly basis to meet departmental service level goals. I motivated and encouraged my team to reach their goals as individuals and as a unit.
