*Screen & examine students for injuries and complaints of illness.

*Respond to medical emergencies & administer first aid, emergency medications, & CPR.

*Refer health problems to District school nurse.

*Complete accident reports & record all procedures & treatments into Aeries & LEA billing forms.

*Assist with inputting, monitoring, tracking immunizations, sending letters & making phone calls to parents. Complete annual immunization assessment for 7th grade.

*Provide anaphylaxis, seizure, & diabetic management. Care given as prescribed by medical provider & HUSD guidelines.

*Update & create health files for students. Maintain records, Dr notes, & test results in health file.

*Dispense prescription & non- prescription medications as authorized by physician, record dosages, securely store medications.

*Examine students with possible communicable diseases, notify parents & DSN, Send notices home or exclude as necessary.

*Order medical & office supplies. Maintain health office, keep equipment sanitary.

*Assist with disaster preparedness plans & drills.

*Provide health support for students with medications & specialized physical health care services for all off campus activities.

*Set up & close out health office for school year.

*Communicate health plan information to appropriate school staff regarding students health problems with assistance of DSN.

With my LVN, specialized procedures may be required (e.g. G-tube feedings & medications).
