Accomplishments

    Upon graduating with no teaching jobs worked for Mercy Hospital in the Insurance Process Department, then in 1976 worked for one year as the Insurance Claims Adjuster for Broward County Carpenters.

    I then went back to NJ and briefly taught preschool.

    I then worked for Johnson and Johnson-Ortho Diagnostics as a Typesetter/Graphic Artist. My top speed in typing was 93 wpm. I joined South Orange Maplewood Board of Education- Accounts Payable 7 1/2 years and the Office Manager of Maplewood Middle School (800 students-100 staff- went thru 7 principals.

I have the ability to listen and break down the problems that a customer has had. 

I have been an advocate in College- Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and for my children and 17 years of 800 students running a middle school.

I multi task all the time, 

I have for the last week been at the Apple Store for 12 hours and quietly. sit and program on my own.  Your employees sit and watch me.  A little stange for a 71 year old woman.  I started in High School programming Fortran.  I have in my business life developed Lotus and Excel spreadsheets, when asked without training I ran the Computer/check processing system (antiquated now) and when needed took over the payroll department for a multi-million dollar joint Board of Education. 

In my school I had 4 secretaries.  In the main office my assistant did one thing-student attendance.

I did:  Student Activity Trust Fund, All purchasing on computer creating purchase orders, faculty attendance, Secretary to the Principal, Running the 7 xerox machines and keeping them operational, overseeing all special events and graduation
