Recent graduate from the University of Michigan who plans to utilize their Bachelors of Science to pursue a career in medicine. Recipient of University Honors for four consecutive semesters and graduated with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB). Currently works as a medical assistant and Cochlear Implant Patient Care Coordinator at Michigan Ear Institute. Also works as a In-home caregiver. Previously worked as a patient care technician at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Actively engaged in research under the direction of Dr. Jason Knight at the University of Michigan, where the primary focus of research was Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome. Previously engaged in numerous leadership, extracurricular, and volunteering experiences in order to expand community outreach skills and develop personal qualities that will be beneficial in a field of medicine. Possesses excellent communication skills and excels in interpersonal relations developed through experiences of interacting with diverse patient populations and working closely with coworkers, classmates, nurses and physicians. Yields strong compassion and dedication towards working with others and growing in knowledge of medical care and biological sciences. Hopes to utilize personal interests and qualities, and educational background to make change in the medical community and conducting substantial research in order to care for others with, and treat, devastating medical ailments.
