Carrie Hutchings

Working in health care has always been a dream of mine. I decided as a Freshman in High School that a career in healthcare would be my goal after graduation. My first step in achieving this goal was completing the PN Select program at SOTC. I have taken advantage of preparing for this career by accepting a position at Falls Creek working in the First Aid division during the summer of 2022. I enjoyed learning intake skills and observing basic treatment of patients from the LPN's and RN's. I also feel my experience working with multiple children through private baby sitting as well as formal child care centers have helped to strengthen my skills for my ultimate goal of working in the field of Pediatric Nursing.

I've always loved reading since I was a child. One of my favorite books is "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo". Golfing is not only a hobby, but also a competitive sport I enjoyed all through Jr. High and High School.  I was a member of a state championship team on the Plainview Ladies Golf team my Sophomore through my Senior year. It will be a sport I can leisurely enjoy for many years to come.
