- Utilized nursing processes in conjunction with provided protocols from Schmitt-Thompson to provide telephone triage and or health information and education for patient's ranging in age from newborn to geriatric and hospice.
- Led several pilot programs including a Covid line that monitored all HCA employees with Covid as well as the general public across the US. Other responsibilities for this pilot were making the schedule for all RN's who were assigned to help with this line and collaborating with leadership daily to report on logistics of program.
- The second pilot program I was in charge of was working under CMS guidelines and following all HCA patients who had a knee or hip replacement in the Florida division to decrease the number of hospital readmissions. With this program I made outbound calls daily to post op patients to inquire on their progress and evaluate any complications. I would also communicate any issues with the orthopedic surgeon's office to help resolve any issues.
- I was also a charge nurse for 6 years which entailed training new hires, assisting other nurses with difficult callers and welfare calls.
- I was an interim supervisor for 1 yr. My responsibilities in this role were weekly one on one's with my team, reviewing their calls and addressing any performance concerns. I assisted in managing the schedule for over 100 nurses as well as payroll and making any needed corrections on timesheets.
