I started at Hillcrest in college and learned for the first time what goes into preparing a golf course every day. Throughout my tenure at HCC I gained experience in running almost every type of equipment that one might find on a golf course as well as my first introduction into construction. After school I accepted a position at Dallas National where I learned what goes into being a top 100 club. Worked through the winter at Preston Trail as the 2nd assistant helping with some smaller renovations. For the last two years I have been at Red Feather golf club building a golf course from the ground up. Gaining more experience with drainage projects as well as dirt shaping and bunker installation. For the first time was a part of a grow in from the very beginning while I oversaw 75 acres of sod laid, 25 acres of hydroseed as well as 4-5 acres of seeded bentgrass greens.
