In High School I was apart of a nursing club, HOSA. My teacher appointed me to learn something new, LPN skills, and compete certain skills at the state level. Competing in the Clinical Nursing category, I was expected to perform insertion of a catheter, injection sites and injecting medications, post-mortem care, etc. Placing third in that category, I qualified for the national HOSA competition in Dallas, Texas. Competing those same skills in the first round, I was eligible for the final round, globally. I won top 10 in the Clinical Nursing category within the entire world!
