Ambitious mill worker looking for a lifelong career with more opportunities to move up. I am a team player that will be an asset to create value for your company. Experience in industrial manufacturing settings. Very mechanically inclined and ability to learn quickly. I currently am a tech 2 rewinder operator at Georgia Pacific paper mill in Clatskanie Oregon and have the ability to prioritize tasks in a time sensitive and safe manner with company production goals in mind. I am looking to get out of the everyday mill life and find a career that suites my skill set and creates a comfortable life for my family and I.
Experienced in fast-paced environments and adaptable to last-minute changes. Thrives under pressure and consistently earns high marks for work quality and speed.
I am responsible for leading my crew at a paper mill in an industrial manufacturing setting. I am the one solely responsible for keeping our machines running and making any adjustments necessary to keep our equipment producing enough product to meet company goals. Working in a fast pace environment and being able to make good decisions in a timely manner is essential to succeed at my job as WPL.
Structural Ironworker apprentice through local 29 in Portland. I was contracted out through JH Kelly in Longview Wa. I earned apprentice of the month in January 2018 which is a great accomplishment. My job duties varied widely. I did anything from connecting steel beams at very high elevations and communicating with crane operators in order to safely complete the job at hand, to tying rebar and prepping for concrete pours. I did a little welding and a ton of cutting and grinding. I operated a variety of heavy equipment, mainly JLG boom lifts, scissor lifts and Telehandler fork trucks. Very physical and safety oriented work. Fall protection and other PPE was an everyday responsibility necessary to complete the job safely. Only reason for leaving this career is I needed a job close to home with a steady schedule and wanted to have a steady paycheck without concerns of not working enough hours per week.
I worked a labor job at RSG Forest Products in mist for the summer. My job was at the sorting table. Very fast paste work pulling the strips of fresh cut lumber off the strip table and keeping lumber sorted in order for the graders to complete their job with ease. Working in sub-par conditions in an old warehouse exposed to the weather.
Forklift certified and can operate an overhead bridge crane well.
