I always grew up with a passion for being creative and open to new things. This passion was expressed through art for me, drawing was my first hobby and way for me to express my emotions and experiences. I always had a notebook and pencil in hand and it was hard to get me to come down from my room to stop drawing. I wanted to be an art teacher my whole life until college when I didn't enjoy art as my major and the classes I was in.
I was also a soccer player my whole life until I tore my ACL my junior year of high school. My dream was to play D1 soccer in college, but I started to fall in love with running after I was cleared to play soccer and ended up changing my mind to run in college instead of play soccer. Now, the amazing thing is is that art and soccer are my hobbies and I have things that I can enjoy outside of my sport. I am so happy to get back into drawing and painting because it helps my mental health and gives me so much clarity and is more than just a fun hobby for me. Soccer became something that made me exhausted and drained, but now, it is so fun for me and is an activity for me and my friends to play. These hobby's bring so much love to my life and I am happy even though I thought it would be the main portion and identification of who I am, it is still apart of my life even tough it is not what I grew up expecting to happen.
