Casey Parker

• Work with eleven (11) Law Enforcement Agencies in Harris County and keep in open communication line on various projectes, systems and applications Universal Services Manage.
• With the CAD/RMS system and project I assist with trouble shooting any issues the agencies may have stemming from reports not submitting to helping various questions on how the system works. I also help conduction testing when there is an upgrade on the system and work with the team on reporting issues and documenting the new features.
• With Blackboard, Intrepid, and Cris Crash I assist the agencies with the administration aspect of the applications and provide demo on the functionality, tips and tricks for the applications.
• With LENS and JWEB I work with the law enforcement agencies on improving the applications and taking their suggests back to the team. I also help with testing when there is an upgrade.
• I create lesson plans that are TCOLE approved, Powerpoint presentations and user guides on various applications to assist the agencies with training. I also teach different variations of the Superion and Cris Crash classes to the agencies.

• Investigated incidents and crimes, collected evidence, and recorded witness statements.
• Provided public safety assistance at community events to maintain safe and secure environments.
• Trained other deputies on patrol during there Probationary Patrol Training.
• Work with agencies outside of Harris County Sheriff's Office on Stolen Vehicle investigations and help close cases or file charges.
• Assist the Executive Command Staff with providing statistics for each patrol district and to the Sheriff.

May 2009 to April 2012 - Patrol Deputy

• Patrolled designated areas in patrol vehicle and on foot to identify security and safety issues.
• Investigated incidents and crimes, collected evidence, and recorded witness statements.
• Identified suspicious activity and conducted interviews with witnesses to build cases.
• Interviewed criminal targets and witnesses to uncover facts for verification and authentication.
• Performed rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters by directing traffic and administering emergency medical aid.

April 2012 - August 2015 - Field Training Officer

• Trained other deputies in firearms and self-defense tactics.
• Trained other deputies in Patrol from the first stages to the last stage of training.
• Taught classes at the Harris County Sheriff's Office such as: Traffic Stops, Building Entry, Report Writing, and Tactical Tourniquet.
• During this time, I also conducted the same tasks as a Patrol Deputy, but was training new deputies.

August 2015 - February 2018 - Homicide Investigator

• Thoroughly analyzed criminal information and processed crime scenes.
• Gathered information and evidence to assist in solving crimes.
• Provided testimony in court proceedings.
• Drafted Arrest Warrants and Search Warrants, working closing with the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
• Worked with other agencies in joint investigations to help arrest and charge homicide suspects involved in multiple murders.
• Kept an open communication with Patrol Deputies when investigation incidents as they are the front line and exposed to pertinent information.

February 2018 to August 2019 - Field Training Officer

• Returned to patrol as a field training officer

• Conducted physical training to keep fit and pass the mandated TCOLE requirements for the Harris County Sheriff's Office Academy, to include weekly PT tests.
• Studied the Texas Penal Code and the Criminal Code of Procedures in preparation of taking the TCOLE Peace Office test to be a license officer.

• Documented prisoner identification, charges and inmate disturbance incidents.
• Examined incoming and outgoing mail to detect contraband.
• Maintained jail security by performing frequent security checks within cell block and inspecting each cell for contraband.
• Utilized weapons, handcuffs and physical force to maintain discipline and order among prisoners.
• Observed inmate behavior to prevent dangerous and inappropriate activities, supervising over 60 inmates simultaneously.
• Prepared reports to document incidents and violations.
• Conducted security checks of inmates and living areas.
