Small Team Member Internship

  • Worked in an Assistant Superintendent role assisting the superintendent and trade partners in various day to day tasks along a variety different trades.
  • Completed finishing details on projects including caulking windows and doorways, final cleanings, door and window adjustments, painting, cabinet adjustments, as well as lighting and fire alarm installations.
  • Assisted in various stages of framing including drywall installation, positioning and holding timbers, measurement and cutting of plywood, metal framing, and base installation using power tools, saws, hammers, and screwdrivers.
  • Installed doors and windows to newly built or remodeled buildings.
  • Completed demolition of a church to be remodeled completing tasks such as tearing down cinderblock walls and asbestos adhesive based ceiling tile.
  • Removed around 3000 square feet of old carpet in the remodeled church.
  • Relocated more than fifty 100+lb church pews.
  • Installed conduits and outlets and ran wire to establish an electrical connection.
  • Repaired and installed new underground pipe and ran wire to install a security system.
  • Leveled wall mounted air conditioning units in new hotel rooms.
  • Epoxied floor in existing and newly built warehouses.
  • Lead a small team to accurately deliver 200 doors with 5 different variations to the correct hotel room with no misplaces or mistakes.
  • Read blueprints and discussed plans with superintendents and project managers to have an accurate understanding of the future and current plans in order to give accurate instructions to trade partners.
  • Operated various machinery including skid-steers, Genie Booms, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and hand held lifts.
  • Purchased specific equipment in town needed by trade partners or superintendents.

Reservist

  • Completed training in California and Missouri from August 2021-April 2022.
  • Promoted to a Squad Leader position from December-April in charge of anywhere from 10-30 Marines.
  • In charge of completing drills and training exercises, keeping accountability of equipment, ensuring every member of the squad understood their role in various tasks.
  • Assigning tasks to Marines depending on their strengths, and answering to Marines of higher ranks while taking responsibility of my Marines actions, along with being enrolled in schools and training for operation of different Motor Vehicles within the Marine Corps.
  • Currently serving as a reservist participating in monthly training in Lubbock.
  • Completes various tasks during the monthly training such as general checkups on equipment and vehicles, participates in classes to refresh knowledge on equipment, tactics, and scenarios.
  • Upkeep's the basics of Marine Corps standards such as discipline, time management, and efficiency.
