Throughout my work experience, I have acquired many different skills that may be necessary to succeed in a hospital setting. Being in the float pool as a patient care technician, I have learned to be flexible and work with patients who are in various situations such as patients in critical conditions, post-operative, gastrointestinal problems, and emergency situations. Beyond the physical skills that I have learned, I also have worked with a diverse population that includes young children, people with special needs and elderly adults who have Alzheimer's. Working with diverse populations allow me to gain a different perspective and taught me patience and gain more compassion. I've learned skills such as teamwork, communication, and prioritization. My empathy, compassion, desire to help people and desire to learn are some core qualities that I believe will contribute to my success in the nursing profession.
