  • All duties of a LVT including surgical assisting, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, venipuncture/phlebotomy, drug calculations, medication administration, animal restraint, operating lab equipment, obtaining patient histories from owners, radiographic imaging, triage, inpatient and outpatient care, pharmacy operations, client communications, post-surgical record keeping, general cleaning, stocking, and more. Additionally I provide support as needed with reception duties. My specific responsibilities, included controlled substance inventorying and reporting, surgical inventorying, autoclave maintenance, some lab equipment maintenance, and the completion of legal medical forms in accordance with government regulations.
  • As the Lead Technician (2021-current) my duties have included staff scheduling, bi-annual progress review input, interviewing for assistant/technician positions, the creation and implementation of a multilevel staff training program, staff management and liaison, general troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
