Lifeguarding has provided training in CPR, First Aid, and water safety, along with proper customer service skills. Working as a madricha, or teacher's assistant at a religious school provides training on how to properly interact with children of all ages. It also helps to develop leadership skills while contributing to controlling a classroom. Finally, umpiring softball games requires a high level of attention to detail and sportsmanship. Umpiring these games increases focus and also boosts confidence interacting with other people.
As a year round swimmer, I am used to committing to something that is extremely difficult. I have swam year round since I was 8, and even though it gets incredibly difficult at times, I have always pushed through because of the enjoyment I gain from it.
As a freshman at Hammond High School, I was placed on the Varsity Softball team and started every game at short stop.
I have had a huge love for baking since before I can remember. It has always brought me a sense of joy and calmness that few other things can. By practicing and self-teaching, I have become very proficient in the kitchen.
