I started my nursing career working High Level Care in July 2013. It was a stepdown telemetry unit that also provided trauma services and peritoneal dialysis. In May 2018, I wanted to expand my knowledge and critical thinking skills and accepted a position in the critical care float pool and worked in the ICU, CVU, and Emergency department. I worked there for 2 years before deciding to take a full time position in the emergency department in September of 2020. I worked full time in the emergency department up until December of 2022, when I accepted a position in care coordination as a UR nurse/discharge planner in the emergency department. I have interqual experience, mainly completing first day reviews, but have also helped the other UR nurses do subsequent day reviews. I am currently working in postpartum/nursery as of August 2025.
