The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating day to day activities of production workers on a shift. This individual is responsible for safety, production, quality, shipping and receiving, and maintenance on assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Enforces company policies, rules, safety and environmental regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production line.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
• Responsible for documenting shift incidents and accidents using the appropriate plant or corporate form.
• Responsible for ensuring the employees on the shift are wearing the correct PPE and following safety rules.
• Verifies that Satellite Accumulation and RCRA requirements are being followed

Physical inspector Operator responsibilities:

• Conduct physical quality testing on all coating samples to make sure everything passes and its good quality.
• Maintain paint standard files as production requirements change frequently.
• Maintain physical test files for each portion that the line produces.
• Responsible for various in-house quality control audit checks and testing methods.
• Audit daily paint usage to ensure paint usage stays within customer requirements.
• Audit daily paint DF control.
• Audit color and gloss trending.
• Audit requested paint vendor changes on specific coatings.
• Monitor coating film thickness and conversion coating weights during all production.

Entry end operators responsibilities:

• Reads, comprehends and interprets production schedules
  
• Compares coil tag metal specs and coil number to those shown on schedule
  
• Competently performs visual inspection for damage and potential coating problems and communicates problems to other line personnel
  
• Informs foreman and/or QC of non-conformant material
  
• Accurately calculates footage and/or weights for specific jobs
  
• Accurately measures coil gauge and width and is knowledgeable of tolerances
  
• Reads and accurately records coil weights, order numbers, etc.
