I grew in my communication skills, remaining clear and level-headed during very fast-paced days. I worked busy holidays, very long days, and ensured the atmosphere always felt warm and inviting.

During my time working at Union Chapel, I grew in many areas. Specifically, I learned how to get administrative work completed while simultaneously building and maintaining personal relationships within the community. I learned how to take care of the church's physical needs(keeping areas tidy, getting snacks, etc.) while being a welcoming presence.

I onboarded volunteers, helped them through our training program and onboarding process. I worked closely with families in our community, specifically families who are directly impacted by the effects of disabilities(cognitive and physical) in their family, and helped our church grow in this area. I remain very passionate about inclusion in the church.

Developed and initiated care plans built specifically for the child . Collaborated with the child's family to identify their needs for daily living support.

Practically, I would arrive, make meals, assist with hygiene needs, monitor health, monitor behavioral issues and work with the family to help the individual grow in all these areas. I continue to have a relationship with the entire family even after their need for a daily caregiver has gone. My time here caused me to grow in many ways.
