Began the first year in a part time position supporting the medical director Dr. Sandoval in the South Burlington location by helping room her patients, maintaining their medical records, and performing basic office needed tasks when I wasn’t running rescue as an AEMT.
The following year I was offered a position that I accepted working for a psych nurse practitioner in the busier Burlington office. Their eye certified in Una boot treatments for patients suffering from venostasis issues. I also ran basic lab testing such as D10 drug screening, urinalysis, EKG’s, med list, reconciliation, epic charting, rapid strep cultures, suture removal, vaccine administration, pregnancy screening, in addition to many other office tasks. I stayed with this position for four years until the provider. Gabrielle Mikula announced her retirement.
At Gabrielle‘s suggestion, I then took a new possession in inpatient psychiatry. This is where I remained for my last five years with the university of Vermont Medical Center.
