I am currently a senior at Purdue University majoring in Kinesiology with an interest in Strength and Conditioning. I have the intent of obtaining my master's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science/Physiology. In addition to academics, I have been working as a student manager for the Purdue Women's Swim and Dive program over the past three years.
Worked alongside coaches of the Men's and Women's Varsity Swimming Programs to assist in running practices. Collected various types of data while at competitions (film, stroke rates, splits) and imported this data into different software to track athlete's progress throughout the season. Traveled to various schools within the Big Ten and NCAA for competition days while providing the team with the necessary equipment, fueling snacks, data collection, and team meals. Grew my event management experience through the planning and executing of the Purdue Swim Camp, recruiting weekends, and team activities and dinners.
Worked alongside management to create daily rotation schedules for the lifeguarding staff, created and ran weekly drill sessions where staff practiced their lifesaving skills, emergency action plan walk-throughs, general ground rules, and scenario walk-throughs. Co-taught the Junior Lifeguarding class in which members of the club can participate in a week-long morning course learning the simple skills of first-aid, active scanning, emergency saves, and ground rules.
Oversaw the daily rotations of the lifeguards at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center as well as the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center Pool. Obtained my American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification. Used this certification to test emergency scenarios with the lifeguarding staff and run monthly staff drill sessions.
With this position, I obtained certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and American Red Cross Emergency Oxygen.
Assisted and taught swim lessons for children of all ages and skill levels. Ensured patron safety by actively scanning and enforcing rules, and performing first aid. Coached the Stonybrook Stingrays Summer League Swim Team for children of the ages of 5-18 at different skill levels. Promoted to Headguard June 2022.
With this position I obtained my certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First-Aid/CPR and AED
Ensured patron safety by actively scanning and enforcing rules, and performing first aid. Promoted to Lifeguard Lead during November of 2020. Lifeguard Leads were selected from the Head guards as lifeguards who displayed strong leadership characteristics and followed/displayed staff rules and regulations.

Strength and Conditioning Intern at Purdue University June 2023-August 2023
In combination with the HK 49000 Field Work Experience in Sports Performance Class, I gained experience working with different Division I collegiate sports teams in the weight room. This class and internship enlightened me to the day-to-day life as a Strength and Conditioning Coach as well as expanding my knowledge in the field and learning first hand different ways to create and design a Strength and Conditioning program.
