Accomplishments

  • 2013- Member of the Healthy Start Leadership Committiee for Northside Independent School District. This committee consisted of several physical education teachers that worked together to create a new health and nutrition program for northside independent school district. Content was created to share with our 83 elementary school physical education teachers to implement in their classrooms.
  • 2018- I was selected to be a school campus Specialist Team Leader. I attended school leadership meetings and would speak in behalf of the school's specialist team which consisted of the music, art, STEM, GT and PE teachers as well as the school librarian, counselors, and technology, reading and math specialist.
  • 2018- I was selected by our Physical Education Director in Northside ISD to be a cluster leader for PE leading 10 campuses. As a cluster leader I would meet with our physical education director on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis and would relay any concerns or questions from my cluster teachers and vice versa.
  • 2019- Northside COVID pandemic- Lead cluster physical education teachers through online videos and lessons for our students.
  • 2019- Was asked by physical education director to created a scope and sequence for virtual lessons to help aid physical education teachers district wide.
  • 2019- I was selected by our school administration to become our campus Schoology trainer to prepare all teachers for Distance Learning.
  • 2019- Nominated Teacher of the Year.
  • 2020- Lead our school campus in professional development in technology use in the classroom with Flipgrid.
  • 2022- Created and hosted elementary physical education summer professional development for small rural school districts where 20+ districts where invited.
  • 2023- I was a physical education consultant for Hubbard ISD. I was asked to help guide current physical education teacher with classroom management and lesson planning.
